August 25th marks the 13th anniversary of ZONHON BIOPHARMA INSTITUTE, INC. “2024 ZONHONBIO and GENSUNBIO Research and Development Achievement Reporting Session and annual Mid-term Evaluation of R&D Departments” was successfully conducted on August 23th, 2024. All the staff gathered to celebrate the company's birthday in the form of academic exchange. The senior leaders of the department in charge of Qianhong and colleagues also attended the meeting.

The first item on the agenda of the meeting was President Bruce Yong Ma's speech and the 2024 annual commendation. President Ma paid the highest tribute to the leaders and peers of the ZONHONBIO and GENSUNBIO for their long-term interest in guiding them. He also expressed his sincerest gratitude to all the employees of ZONHONBIO and GENSUNBIO for their company over the years. 13 years since its establishment, the company has always adhered to the strategy of strong talent enterprises and independent development strategy, committed to addressing unmet clinical needs, adhere to features and innovation, and gradually expand the strategy of internationalization. In the face of today's internal and external economic situation, the medical industry is struggling. President Ma encouraged all employees to "Keep running to stay in place. To get further, we have to run faster." We will continue to follow the innovative research and development path of deep cultivation, focusing on four indications, can truly create scientific value, clinical value, high market value of innovative R&D results. President Ma put forward "know-how and unification" as the key word of 2024, encouraging all the staff to constantly reflect and improve, practice and action. Do things with honesty and constantly explore truth in the work. Incorporate the concept of patient-centered clinical value orientation and continuous exploration of our own characteristics and differentiated advantages of the concept into the process of innovation and refinement. In addition, President Ma announced the winners of the "Annual Awards" in 2024, and conducted a licensing and recognition ceremony.

We invited Prof. Jianming Shi, a foreign academician of the Japan Academy of Engineering, professor of Tokyo University of Science, and co-founder of ZONHONBIO, to give a special lecture on “The Future is Here: Artificial Intelligence in the Biomedical Field”. In recent years, the rapid development of global artificial intelligence technology, all levels of economic and social life due to the application of AI technology is undergoing qualitative changes. AI-enabled biomedical innovation has become a trend in the field of new drug research and development, from basic research to clinical practice, and even the future development, AI will bring us a revolutionary subversion and creation. Prof. Shi's in-depth introduction also made us face the problem that there are only two kinds of people in the future, those who know AI and those who don't know AI. We are in the era of AI, how to better grasp and utilize AI tools, accelerate the progress of R&D and expand the application boundaries is a question that every one of us should think deeply about.

In the second agenda, the “Newcomers Forum” and “R&D Department Mid-term Evaluation”, 6 newcomers and 18 representatives reported their R&D project results and management platform upgrading effectiveness. On-site leaders and peers in the question session with the report carried out discussions and academic exchanges, the report was in a strong academic atmosphere. After the report, the Committee held an evaluation meeting, based on the three most critical assessment principles of “innovation, completion, growth”, the final selection of three “2024 Outstanding R&D Newcomers Award” and six “2024 Outstanding R&D Achievement Award” were finally selected after strict and fair comprehensive evaluation, and the awarding ceremony was held at the presentation site.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Wang Yaofang, Chairman of the Board, made a speech. Chairman Wang pointed out in his speech that, after years of growth and accumulation, the team of ZONHONBIO and GENSUNBIO has seen the emergence of scientific research results, the growth of newcomers, the improvement of technical backbone, and the continuous improvement of the comprehensive management level. Though the road is near, it will not be reached. During the thirteen years of common struggle, all the researchers of ZONHONBIO and GENSUNBIO have always kept the love for innovation and exploration, and after the test and baptism of time, they can still give us the courage and determination not to give up in the face of difficulties, and not to be afraid of scaling the heights.
